Before you start.

Do I need a measurement microphone?+
No. Dialed In can play pink noise through your speakers and capture it with your phone or laptop mic, then compute the in-room response right there. It's most accurate in the bass and modal region, which is exactly where most room problems live. If you do own a calibrated mic and use REW, you can import that export instead for more reach up top.
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?+
The measurement runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API, and the recording never leaves your device. When you ask for the written interpretation, only the resulting numbers (the frequency-response points and your room details) are sent for analysis, never the audio itself.
Does it work with Room EQ Wizard?+
Yes. Export your measurement as a two-column CSV (frequency, SPL) and drop it in. A header line and comments are fine, and comma, tab, space or semicolon delimiters all work. A third column is read as a right channel.
Will it just tell me to buy more foam?+
No. Jamplify leads with the free moves first, speaker and seat placement, because they fix the biggest problems at no cost. It only suggests treatment where the geometry calls for it, and it's blunt about what each piece actually buys you. It will also refuse to “EQ away” a null, because that's a cancellation EQ physically can't fix.
What is Dialed In not?+
It's an interpretation layer, not a room simulator or a 3D modelling suite. The findings are deterministic acoustics; the interpretation and prioritisation are the AI's job. Think of it as the experienced friend who reads your curve and tells you what to do next, not a physics engine.
